I am Russell D. Hunt, Sr., and I practice Criminal Defense Law exclusively. My office is in Waco, Texas, where I've practiced for over 25 years. Until 1999, I employed my son, Russell D. Hunt, Jr., to work for me as my employee. He is no longer my employee, but each of us now have our own practice. He has offices in Georgetown and Austin, Texas. We continue to collaborate and work together on a regular basis. He now has his thriving Criminal practice, and I have mine. Of course, I am proud of him and what he is accomplishing. He is a fine young lawyer. I practice throughout many central Texas counties. Although the bulk of my practice is in McLennan County, I also regularly practice in Bell, Bosque, Coryell, Falls, Freestone, Limestone, McLennan, Hill, and Navarro counties. The major cities in those counties are Temple, Belton, Killeen, Meridian, Clifton, Gatesville, Marlin, Groesbeck, Waco, Hillsboro, and Corsicana. I am also licensed to practice in Minnesota, and will travel there to handle federal criminal cases. Russell Junior handles cases in Burnett, Bell, Coryell, Travis, and Williamson counties. The major cities in those counties include Burnett, Marble Falls, Belton, Killeen, Temple, Austin, and Georgetown. Both of us have tried many cases in both state and federal courts and are experienced trial lawyers. I am Board Certified [link to "Board Certification" page] in Criminal Law by both the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Russell Junior is certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. We are both members of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (TCDLA) and are life members of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL). These two organizations regularly provide continuing education, support, and assistance to their members.
